Just 30 years ago.

"Rapper's Delight" hit #36 on the U.S. pop charts, #4 on the U.S. R&B charts, #1 on the Canada Singles Chart, #3 on the UK singles chart, and #2 on VH1's top 100 hip-hop songs of all time. In 1979 it became the first hip-hop single to go gold.

It was the first song of Hip Hop to be available chart in the pops hits ranking.

And now which has passed for 30 years and HIP HOP are enlivening a chart all over the world. The growth is so that an original style is born by a language of each country. Of course, this is in Japan, too.
